Senior Account Executive

Job description

We’re seeking a full-time senior account executive to begin work immediately. The ideal candidate is someone who has at least 3 years of PR experience and is interested in joining an entrepreneurial firm. We operate in a fast-paced environment where you’ll be acting as the day-to-day lead for multiple accounts and captaining everything from media relations to social media management to client account management, while simultaneously being tasked with maintaining team culture, Gravitate PR marketing and new business efforts.

Requirements

  • Act as day-to-day lead for multiple accounts in various industries
  • Act as a self-starter in not only taking on, but also in delegating, the tasks that will help our clients gain media coverage–writing and disseminating press releases and pitches, creating media lists, scheduling interviews, creating messaging documents
  • Ability to manage to junior staffers, while also be able to report up to senior teammates on account activity
  • Exceptional degree of creativity/initiative in coming up with proactive media opportunities, rapid response editorial opportunities and spearhead these recommendations on behalf of clients
  • Facilitate media briefings across client accounts and provide counsel to clients
  • Own aspects of PR program (e.g. media relations, content, social media, thought leadership) and be a key client contact
  • Demonstrate clear attention to detail, while being able to complete tasks on time and at a high quality
  • Strong research and presentation skills for client and new business activity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in creating various marketing/PR materials (including press releases, blog posts, articles etc)
  • Ability to generate content  across different formats (including guest articles, blog posts, social media content, etc) with minimal edits
  • Proactively set quarterly goals with manager and track towards growth
  • Experience working with marketing/PR tools (including MuckRack/Cision, HootSuite)
  • Experience working in a PR agency and/or with enterprise tech brands ideal, but not required

  • Enjoy media relations and has proven experience/results in working with business, technology and industry media - including consuming news media each day, identifying new angles, taking the lead in drafting pitches, progressing “rapid response” opportunities, and facilitating interviews with clients
  • Create various marketing/PR materials (including press releases, blog posts, social media posts, articles etc)
  • Can write across different formats (including guest articles, blog posts, social media content, etc).
  • Work efficiently on multiple tasks across various account teams
  • Possess strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Have attention to detail, while being able to complete tasks on time and at a high quality
  • Demonstrate stellar research skills for client and new business activity
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Can creatively identify new angles and storylines for clients
  • Have experience working with marketing/ tools (including MuckRack/Cision, HootSuite)
