Account Coordinator

Job description

We’re seeking a full-time account coordinator to begin work immediately. The ideal candidate is someone who does not want to be in a cog in the wheel - as a small and scrappy firm, we operate in a fast-paced environment where you’ll be highly involved in - and excited to make a tangible contribution to - everything from media relations, client account management, team culture, Gravitate PR marketing and new business.

The position requires working from our San Francisco office. (Due to COVID-19, Gravitate PR staff are all working remotely, but will eventually plan for flexible work options).

Job responsibilities

  • Managing multiple client relationships in the tech space
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staffers
  • Developing PR strategies and executing media relations campaigns
  • Proactively identifying unique POVs and platforms for clients
  • Pitching media and facilitating interviews, bylined articles, media tours and more
  • Developing monthly scopes and reports for client accounts
  • Researching and developing new business presentations

Requirements

  • At least one year of intern/entry-level experience (preferably with enterprise tech and/or PR agency experience)
  • Work efficiently on multiple tasks across various account teams
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail, while being able to complete tasks on time and at a high quality
  • Strong research skills for client and new business activity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in creating various marketing/PR materials (including press releases, blog posts, articles etc)
  • Knowledge of writing across different formats (including guest articles, blog posts, social media content, etc).
  • Experience working with marketing/ tools (including Muckrack/Cision, HootSuite)
  • A four-year degree from an accredited college/university with a degree in communications, PR or a related field

We’re looking for an experienced technology PR pro to run client accounts, manage junior staff members and be integral in fielding and securing new business. Enthusiasm for tech is also a must!

The account supervisor will be responsible for delivering strategic media relations programs, securing consistent top-tier results and managing staffing and budget for client accounts. This person must also have unbounded creativity and curiosity with the ability to immerse themselves in clients’ business to tell unique stories that resonate with media.
