Account Coordinator
Job description
We’re seeking a full-time account coordinator to begin work immediately. The ideal candidate is someone who does not want to be in a cog in the wheel - as a small and scrappy firm, we operate in a fast-paced environment where you’ll be highly involved in - and excited to make a tangible contribution to - everything from media relations, client account management, team culture, Gravitate PR marketing and new business.
The position requires working from our San Francisco office. (Due to COVID-19, Gravitate PR staff are all working remotely, but will eventually plan for flexible work options).
As part of the Gravitate PR team, you will
Be the day-to-day lead and driver of PR programs across various account teams
Spearhead client programs and campaigns, including providing recommendations on strategy and key initiatives
Manage and mentor junior staffers directly or indirectly, while also being able to report up to senior teammates on account activity
Demonstrate clear attention to detail, while being able to complete tasks on time and at a high quality
Create various communications materials (including press releases, blog posts, articles etc) with minimal edits
Possess a high degree of proactivity/initiative in coming up with proactive media opportunities, rapid response editorial opportunities and spearhead these recommendations on behalf of clients
Consistently identify opportunities for creative ideas, initiatives and campaigns that address/exceed client’s goals
Develop strategic plans and proposals for clients and new business opportunities
Ideally, have relevant enterprise technology and startup experience
Desired qualifications
At least one year of intern/entry-level experience (preferably with enterprise tech and/or PR agency experience)
Work efficiently on multiple tasks across various account teams
Time management and prioritization skills
Attention to detail, while being able to complete tasks on time and at a high quality
Strong research skills for client and new business activity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrable experience in creating various marketing/PR materials (including press releases, blog posts, articles etc)
Knowledge of writing across different formats (including guest articles, blog posts, social media content, etc).
Experience working with marketing/ tools (including Muckrack/Cision, HootSuite)
A four-year degree from an accredited college/university with a degree in communications, PR or a related field

Maintain a thorough understanding of clients' industries by actively following and understanding key issues, opportunities and trends; use insights to develop strategic recommendations
Demonstrate broad awareness of PR beyond media relations - including providing research, analyst relations, content marketing, social, influencer marketing, content marketing and other activities
Facilitate media/analyst/influencer interviews, lead media/presentation coaching for clients and prepare for key events or conferences
Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, media and other stakeholders
Manage, mentor and delegate to junior staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure that PR programs continue to meet goals and expectations
Lead new business proposal development - including identifying new business leads and organic client growth opportunities, leading prospect calls, developing proposals and presentations, and finding additional ways to drive awareness and visibility for the agency
Have relevant enterprise technology experience
Have relevant startup experience - you can work quickly and nimbly
